Five tools I reach for when taking apart, marking, and rebuilding automotive and motorcycle seats. I put this kit together for builders who want to start with tools I actually use in the shop.

The kit includes:

  • 1 upholstery staple remover
  • 2 silver marking pens for layout and pattern work
  • 1 [size] upholstery regulator
  • 1 [size] upholstery regulator

The two regulator sizes give you different reach and control when working material into tight areas. The marking pens help make your layout lines visible on many upholstery materials. Always test markings on a scrap piece first to confirm they can be removed from your material.

This is my recommended tool selection for seat and interior projects. It is not a complete set of everything required to upholster a seat.
